Updates

1-17
Hello all. Things have been pretty quiet here. The laundry room is finished and looks wonderful. We will be starting on some cabins very shortly. Sid should be getting the approval letter this week (if he hasn't already). We are excited to get going on the project. Well, that's it for now. Happy New Year.

12-23
Not much has happened lately. Sid and the boys are remodeling the laundry room by the snack bar. It really looks nice. Should be open as you read this. Sorry about the lack of updates however there hasn't been a whole lot to say. We finally got some rain and the lake is up about a foot, back to where it should be. Hope everyone has a wonderful and safe holiday season.
Jay

Hello all. It's been a while since my last update. The new sand has been put on the beach. The campers were moved out of the center and we got a good feel for what kind of room we have to work with. The center is going to be reopened for the winter. The tree guys came out and removed some 70 pines throughout the park. We will continue our efforts to plant new trees all around.

Announcement:

HALLOWEEN 2000
This year MLR will be holding a Halloween Party instead of our traditional Haunted House on Saturday, October 28, 2000 at 7:00 PM. There will be refreshments, music and a costume contest during the party held in the Club House.
The Costume Contest will be divided into three age groups with prizes and gifts for 1st and 2nd place winners. The age groups will be infant to 10 years old, 11 years through 17 years old and last but definitely not least 18 years old and up.
Anyone wishing to volunteer to help organize and help at the party please contact a staff member in the front office or call 87-9157 and leave your name and phone number.
Everyone come on out, bring a friend, and have a great time.

The mens bathhouse is all but finished. The only thing left is to put up a mirror. Singing River has been out putting the power in so that we can start on building some more cabins. Sometime in the next week we are going to be moving the campers from the center section across the ditch. We have the snack bar open as well. Sometime this week we should also have three new loads of sand on the beach. That's all for now. -Jay

It's been way too long with the updates I know. Sorry. Lemme try to get everyone up to speed. Pull thru sites are no longer. We have torn up the asphalt and put the conduit in for the electrical on the cabins. We are still waiting for Singing River to put the lines in.
Bathhouse . . . well, they have apparently discontinued the color of tile that we put down already. That means different color for the mens and ladies bathrooms which I think is a good thing. We picked out a terra cotta color for the bathroom partitions and a lighter terra cotta tile for the floor. Should be nice when finished.
I have some pictures that I have been waiting to put up on the webpage and I just have not gotten around to it. Sorry. :-( Hopefully I will have time soon.
That's it for now. Happy Mothers Day to all the Moms out there. :-) -Jay

Happy Valentines Day.

Well I have put the new newsletter up on the webpage. Those of you on the newsletter email list will be getting an email version soon.

2-5
The newletter is finished and we should be sending them out shortly. I will also be posting one up on the website shortly. Cabin A and B are now also remodelled and D should be done by the time you get your newsletter. :-) -Jay

Well this is the first update of the new year. Hope everyone had a good one. We have finished pouring the sites on Azeala. They look great. We also added a sidewalk going to the bridge.
The outside of the bathhouse has been finished and we have started remodeling another cabin. It should be finished sometime this week.
Al and June Grahm are back for the winter and Al has been playing some music for us.
That's all for now. -Jay
