We have done some exciting things in the last few months, and have a lot of new plans we are working on. Cabin C has been successfully remodeled. The other cabins will be remodeled in the same fashion. We have also added 19 new sites, two handicap accessible, with concrete patios and full hookups on Cedar. The bathhouse remodeling is also well underway and when finished will be handicap accessible.

Also, after much member discussion and input, we have decided to remove the campers in the center section. Many members have expressed that they would like to have more picnic space available. Some suggested we add pavilions. We are excited to get underway on the project, as it will really add another dimension to your park.

As some of you already know, MLR is on the Internet. We have added a section on member businesses. If you are a business owner send us one of your cards or email us at snow@pangaealink.com and we will get you on the web. We are constantly updating the site with new pictures and also the latest news so check us out online!

If you would rather have your newsletter mailed to you via email, please call us and give your email address or email us a note with your member number. The newsletter is online so you can always get it from the website.

Anyone bringing pets into MLR rentals will be required to leave a $50.00 pet deposit when registering. Deposit will be refunded upon checkout if no damage is done by pets. Any member caught with a pet in a rental without a pet deposit will pay a $50 nonrefundable charge to MLR.

St. Pats Parade will start at 1:30 so come early. Prizes will be awarded for best float.

 

Mar 28 - Easter Egg Hunt and Parade

Parade will start at 1:00. Come early so we can get everyone ready. Egg Hunt will be after the parade has finished. Prizes will be awarded for best float and most eggs found. We need volunteers to help hide eggs. Please call and leave a message for Cindy at 875-9157.

 

May 29 - Memorial Weekend

Saturday picnic will start at 5:00. A list of games and times will be posted in the Rec. Hall.

MLR is in need of volunteers to help with activities during the holiday. Please call Cindy if you can help. We also would like to say thanks for all the help we have had from members in the past. You’re the greatest! You know who you are.

MLR Members now have a special number to call for reservations. This number will be answered Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. only. This line will be used only for rental and site reservations.

Reservations for rentals on major holidays will be taken 60 days in advance. Members need to call in their reservations for their RV’s as well.

Regarding our guest situation … everyone agrees we all enjoy and wish to encourage continued guest use. We are going to continue the guest fee policy that was used last summer. It will be in effect May 1^st to September 30^th. For those of you not familiar with the guest fee policy it is as follows:

1. Members and their immediate family – no charge. (includes parents and children or grandchildren)
2. Preschool age children (under 6) – no charge.
3. All other guests - $2.00 per day.
4. No guest fees will be charged on Tue., Wed., & Thu.

 

Notes

• Guests leaving the park will pay each time they reenter.
• All guests must be on your guest list or they can not enter the park.
• Member must arrive before the guests and is responsible for going over the park rules with guests.
• Each guest family may visit the park "twice a year."
• Guest of teenage members using the park on day use only – no restriction, but must pay $2.00.
• Any guest found using a member’s "card" – the member will be suspended for 90 days.

For large private parties – see below.

• Member must be present during entire guest visit.

We have been growing and improving your park by leaps and bounds. Your monthly payments are the lifeblood in this development. Remember, we pay as we go—please, if you can prepay payments and cash out if possible. Make 5 payments--send 6 payment stubs. Pay 5 years annual dues in advance, get the 6^th year free. Offers good until 6-1-99.

Payments and dues can be done on a major credit card in person or over the phone. We accept VISA, MC, AMEX, and DISCOVER. If you call please ask for Susan or Felix.

MLR would like advanced notice on all parties of 10 or more guests. We will need a list of guest names and phone numbers for each one in your party. Anyone not on the list will not be allowed to enter MLR facilities. Some of our past parties have found it easier to pay for their guests in advance. This has helped with security to move everyone in as quickly as possible. Please give M&M advance notice.

Effective immediately every member with an RV in storage is required to come into the office and reregister their RV no later than March 25^th 1999, and every 6 months thereafter. Free RV storage was implemented to help members to store their RV’s for use on MLR. We have RV’s in storage that are in disrepair and have not been used in over 18 months. Any RV not reregistered by March 25^th will be considered abandoned property and will be disposed of according to applicable Mississippi State laws.

We have a Lost and Found Department if you have lost anything while using MLR, such as jewelry, clothes, eyeglasses, etc.… Please call me. We also have a class ring found a year ago. To pick up an item just call us and describe the lost item and come down and pick it up.  Sunday Mornings
